The Pagan Agenda

In anticipation of reading Naomi Klein’s latest tome, ‘The Shock Doctrine: the Rise of Disaster Capitalism’, I feel the need to share her collaborative short with ‘Children of Men’ director Alfonso Cuaron, ‘The Shock Doctrine’, as well as the trailer to her full-length documentary (co-directed with her husband Avi Lewis) ‘The Take’. There is a glimmer of hope in these works, something the cynical lot of journalism ushing forth nowadays rarely provides. I have been a cynic for a long time, but I think maybe we can overcome, though it will be a fight unlike any other. I live a cushy life, mostly on autopilot, I am the thing that needs to change, and I feel the change, I feel the full impact of awareness creeping into me. I like to think society at large is making inroads toward activism. Quietism is over.
